Duties:
Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking two qualified applicants for full-time Technology Specialist positions with one being located on the Floyd county campus and one being located on the Walker county campus. Job duties may include assignments at all campuses which includes Floyd, Gordon, Polk and Walker county or other sites on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate for both positions must have a schedule that would allow for work hours during the day and on occasion, evening and weekend, as needed. Minimum Qualifications: A.S. degree from a regionally accredited college, and/or equivalent work experience in a college or corporate helpdesk environment. Work experience must include; computer installation and repair, printer and peripheral installation and repair, and software support for the Microsoft Office 2007 Suite. Qualified applicant must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as a customer service oriented attitude. Preferred Qualifications: Industry recognized certifications of competence including A+, Network+, MCTS, MCDST. Ideal candidate would have knowledge and experience regarding TCP/IP, wireless networks, imaging and deployment of desktop operating systems, audio/video system, and meeting service level agreements.
