| Duties: | Job Summary:
The director is a professional security specialist responsible for implementing a full range of safety programs including training in safety procedures, policies, and establishing emergency plans in order to provide a safe environment for the college community. This individual is responsible for tracking and complying with a variety of state and federal rules and regulations, conducting safety programs, training and supervising the security personnel, and developing and writing policies, as well as writing numerous reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, experience working in a college setting, and GA P.O.S.T. law enforcement certification preferred; advanced training in security; excellent writing skills; ability to communicate with a diverse population; and physically able to serve as a primary emergency responder. |
