Duties:
Murphy-Harpst Children’s Centers, Inc., a non-profit agency for children and adolescents with emotional and behavior disorders, located in Cedartown, GA, is currently seeking a Registered Nurse. This individual should ideally possess a strong initiative, desire for career advancement, and strong leadership qualities. Qualifications/Requirements: • Registered Nurse with a current Georgia license, BSN preferred • Minimum 5 years RN experience including • Some supervisory experience preferred • Preferable experience in psychiatric nursing of children and adolescents • Hands on experience strongly preferred with Joint Commission and Medicaid service delivery. • Knowledge of residential childcare and community mental health services is preferred • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical best practices and procedures • Strong computer skills required (i.e., Word and Excel) Summary of Essential Functions: • Deliver services within established Agency, State, Federal, Joint Commission policies and procedures, regulations, ethics and standards. • Maintain timely documentation of services delivered • Participate in Quality Improvement Activities and provide some staff training on nursing related issues
